STAFF & PUBLIC PRAYER – Mondays - Fridays 12-12:30pm
Prayer is one of the most important parts of our lives as Christians.

There are numerous passages of scripture to tell us of the importance of prayer, including:
“For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.” Psalm 109:4
“Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:” 1 Samuel 12:23
“Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.” 1 Corinthians 7:5
The Word of God is extremely powerful and know the Bible makes your prayers more effective. Listen to what the Lord says: “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it" (Isaiah 55:11). God honours His word. He wants us to remind Him of His promises and call on Him to perform what He has declared.
The more time we spend with Him, the more our eyes will be opened to His wondrous personality: His power, His grace, His kindness, His mercy, His love. If knowing Him, is our highest priority in life, He will not push us away but draw us even closer to Him. He longs to have us close enough that we can whisper in His ear.
Knowing someone is the ability to converse with that person, the same way you would speak to friends or family. In order to have an intimate and personal relationship with God, we must develop the ability to converse with Him, and that comes through time spent in prayer to Him.
Ultimately, prayer is powerful and effective because we connect to Almighty God, creator of the universe. He holds all the power and all the answers. He wants us to seek Him in prayer because He delights in connecting with us and answering us, when we take time to speak to Him.
We encourage you to use this opportunity to…
• wait on the Lord
• talk with the Lord intimately
• intercede for a loved one
• draw closer to the Lord
We invite you to join us, each weekday for 30 minutes of powerful prayer to an Almighty God, as we lift up the name of Jesus and cry out to Him in prayer. It just might be the most powerful 30 minutes you’ll spend all day!
